Anyone Can Become a Rebreather Diver.

How do you know if rebreather diving is right for you? Add Helium offers a common-sense approach that allows you to make an intelligent decision.

Making a decision about whether to become a rebreather diver is simple at Add Helium. We don’t ask you to spend thousands of dollars to buy a rebreather only to find out it doesn’t float your boat.

Instead, we allow you to rent a rebreather while training so that you can make the decision to purchase a rebreather after you know it’s something you want to pursue. We are the only facility that offers rebreather rentals through our Rent-A-Rebreather program, and we pride ourselves on this shrewd approach to rebreather training. We encourage everyone to rent first, get certified, and then make a buying decision.

How Do I Know Which Rebreather to Buy?

Knowing which rebreather to purchase can be challenging. It requires understanding what happens during a rebreather dive and how all of the components come together. Many people spend a lot of time trying to gain an understanding through research. We believe rebreathers need to be learned first-hand.

To start, come visit us in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We offer pickup from the airport and can return you to the airport the same day. The cost of a plane ticket and a day of your time will provide all the information needed to make an informed decision. If you can’t visit in person, we can also handle the process by telephone or skype.

We will help you navigate the collection of rebreathers in our showroom. We offer various brands to purchase and most brands to rent. You will be given a thorough presentation on how rebreathers work and which models fit your personal needs.

What Training Is Available?

Based on discussions with you, we will help you develop a training schedule. Course descriptions, gear requirements, and detailed information about class schedules will be provided to you. We have multiple classes offered by a team of expert rebreather instructors, which ensures we can provide training at your convenience.

Being a diver has some advantages when taking your first rebreather class. However, there are no pre-requisites for having been a diver prior to taking a rebreather class. Anyone can take a rebreather class and learn to dive!

Purchasing a Rebreather

After you take a class, the decision to purchase gets very easy. You can either purchase one of our in-stock units or order a custom rebreather based on your preferences.
Add Helium offers the only price-quote guarantee in the business. Once you have clearly defined your requirements with one of our rebreather experts, we guarantee you a written proposal within 24 hours. This custom proposal will be complete, defining the rebreather, spare parts suggestions, and consumables.

So, what are you waiting for? Contact us today at to learn how Add Helium can help you discover the world of rebreather diving.

Rebreather Showroom

Add Helium features the world’s only rebreather showroom. With every major brand on display, you get a firsthand look and hands-on demonstration. Ask questions, break them down, and see the components first-hand. There’s no substitution for seeing yourself.

Concierge Services

Our Concierge will help you find lodging, car rental, gear rental, and other information you require! Don’t hesitate to contact Add Helium’s Concierge, Maggie, for assistance organizing your training.

If you are flying in from out of town, you will need a rental car to transport you and your dive gear from one site to another. Rental cylinders and other rental packages are also available through Add Helium. Just ask Maggie!

Rent-A-Rebreather Program

As the Add Helium dive team began to explore deeper and further, they were not satisfied with the “status quo” of information. Training agencies and industry experts clearly disseminated outdated and unsubstantiated information.

We all need information based on valid research to achieve optimal dives.

Why pockets?

During a dive, clipping gear to D-rings provides easy access to items we use most often. Reels, lights, primary SMB’s and line arrows are good examples of items we use often on a dive. However, we bring some items “just in case”. Many of these items could present an entanglement issue if stored externally. Pockets are often the best place to store these items. For example, spare masks, gloves, secondary cutting
