Technical Diver Supervisor

 

Technical Diver Supervisor
Technical Diver Supervisors may supervise divers in open water and students in all IANTD Standards Programs (except Overhead Environment), IANTD Technical Diver and, (if they meet the prerequisites); Trimix, Rebreather, Wreck and Cave Diver under the direction of a qualified IANTD Instructor.

Must be at least 18 years of age, an IANTD Divemaster or equivalent, First Aid and Oxygen provider. Candidates must obtain technical training appropriate for the class they will be supervising.

Trimix Diver:
Must be qualified as an IANTD Trimix Diver and IANTD Technical Diver Supervisor. Must provide proof of 200 logged dives of which at least 20 were trimix dives deeper than 150' and at least 10 were deeper than 200' .

Rebreather Diver:
Must be qualified as an IANTD Rebreather Diver at the level in which dives are being conducted with a minimum of 200 logged dives of which 50 were on rebreathers.

Wreck:
Must be qualified as an IANTD Technical/Advanced Wreck Dive with a minimum of 100 logged dives, of which at least 35 were on wreck dives.

Cave:
Must be qualified as an IANTD Advanced Cave Diver with a minimum of 100 logged dives, of which at least 60 were cave dives.

Candidates must assist in at least two courses at the level applied for and give at least two lectures. Must supervise at least one complete confined water sessions and spend 200 minutes of bottom time in direct supervision of divers (under guidance of and IANTD Instructor). Candidates must also complete Watermanship drills number 3 and 4 as found in the Advanced Nitrox Watermanship Evaluation with a minimum of 32 points for passing.
