Recreational Trimix Diver
Semi-private Class (4 student's maximum)
This is an introduction to helium…some describe it as increasing the advantages of Nitrox times two! Longer bottom times, shorter surface intervals, improved perception at depth, feel better after you dive! Students will become qualified to dive a partial helium mix to 130 feet , significantly reducing the effects of narcosis while extending bottom time within no-decompression limits.
Participation requires an Advanced Open Water Diver and Nitrox Certification. Course consists of one classroom sessions and two Trimix open water dives.
$395 includes semi-private instruction, certification costs, study materials, lectures and pool session. Open water charter and gas fills are not included. (Trimix fills for an 80 cubic foot tank is approx. $20).
Gear requirements: In addition to a suitable recreational gear package, students will need Trimix Dive Planning software with PDA, arm-slate and two digital depth timers. The cost of this software is about $50 or a Trimix dive computer starting at approx. $1000.00
After receiving this certification you are now eligible to obtain your Deep Diver Certification or Wreck Diver Certification.
