Cavern diving can be defined as an overhead environment where daylight is always visible. Students will learn how to use reels and other equipment to safely enter a cavern zone. Improved buoyancy skills, efficient equipment configuration and gas management skills are the focus. This class is introduces many of the skills and philosophies required for cave diving. Must be a qualified Advanced Open Water Diver and 12 years of age. Course consists of one lecture, one land drill class (using reels) and gear configuration class, minimum of four open water dives. $650 includes semi-private instruction, certification costs, study materials, book, and lectures. Park fee's and gas fills extra. Dive gear required: Recreational Package, suitable to the environment with an 84” long hose on primary regulator, Primary Dive Reel (400') and safety Reel (150'), Primary light and backup. Dual outlet DIN “H” Tank Valve with high capacity steel tank is recommended but not required. |
